Critical English

English as a Second Language (ESL)
This course is one of the courses in the Professional Business Communication Certificate program. During the course, students will learn how to improve English skills, including comprehension, speaking, reading and writing in business context. Specific course outcomes include: learning to pronounce all of the vowel and consonant sounds audibly, to use more native-like pauses and speed to communicate more clearly, and to demonstrate mainstream professional speaking skills. Students will also practice and receive feedback on writing skills and learn to use linear organization to write concrete messages that are clear, concise, consistent, and consensus building. (25 Hrs)

This 26 weeks certificate program provides industry-specific training to work in careers involving child care, such as a Child & Youth Care Worker, Special Needs Asst. etc.

This program includes emploment preparation workshops and paid work experience for individuals with mental health issues.

Citizenship Exam Preparation

Test Preparation Classes

Are you a permanent resident preparing to take the Canadian citizenship exam? Join our online group to learn more about:  

  • Rights and responsibilities
  • History and geography
  • Government and politics
  • Economy and society  

We will also be discussing the new online citizenship test and how to prepare for it. The group takes place on Saturday afternoons, and it is completely free to participate!
