LINC CLASSES AT METRO CONTINUING EDUCATION

LINC

Monday to Friday online, with live intruction from the teacher. 

  • Level 1 to Level 2: 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (Part Time, Online - Morning) 

 

  • Level 3: 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (Part Time, Online - Morning) 

 

  • Level 4: 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Part Time, Online - Afternoon) 

 

  • Level 5: 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (Part Time, Online - Morning)

Online LINC Classes at Solomon College

LINC

Solomon College is excited to offer new LINC online classes starting September this year at our south-east location:  

Full-time Classes: Monday to Friday, 9:15 am to 2:45 pm 

  • CLB 2, 3, 4, 5 

Evening Classes: Tuesday & Thursday, 6 pm to 9 pm 

  • CLB 3, 4

Skill Up Program

Short-Term Career Training
  • 17-weeks of paid training
  • Job placement
  • Related exposure courses
  • Certificate of Skill Up course completion

A foundational and technical skills employment training initiative for newcomers who want to enter the construction industry and related trades. Helps participants find career success in Alberta’s skilled trades and construction industries by focusing on improving job readiness skills and facilitating work placement opportunities for better job retention.

Culinary Skills Training Program

Short-Term Career Training

Building technical culinary and employment skills through Red Seal Chef mentorship and practical kitchen experience to be able to work in all aspects of the food service industry.

A hands-on 12-week training introduction for anyone seeking to enter any aspect of the food service and hospitality industry from fine dining chef to catering, to food truck or largescale production or institutional careers—this is your starting point!

Who can access our program

  • Our program is open to anyone in Canada who is legally permitted to work.
  • Must be 18 years or older to apply.
  • Must have English language proficiency with speaking, reading and writing skills – at least Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 4 English language skills or higher.

Employment Skills Canada

Employment Readiness

Are you from a different country? Do you want to learn about work in Canada? Do you have a disability that makes learning hard? This program will teach you about working in Canada. You will also get 110 hours of work experience.  All scores must be CLB 3 or higher. At least one score must be CLB 3 or 4 level (not a good fit for students with all scores above CLB 4). Only permanent residents and Canadian citizens are eligible for this program.
