ESL at Millwoods Friendship Centre

Community Literacy Classes

If you are interested in improving your English, our ESL Program may be just for you! We offer English classes for adults free of charge. All levels of English are welcome, as our classes range from beginner to advanced. Please also note that we are not able to provide childcare.

Class timings are from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Registration for classes opens in September. If you would like to attend classes and improve your English ability, please email mwfcentre@gmail.com. Or, come to the center in person at 2101 Millbourne Rd W, on any Monday, Wednesday, or Friday from 12:30 – 3:00 p.m.  Our classes run from September through June.

Conversation Circles at AHC

Community Literacy Classes

A networking service to practice English skills with people who share the same first language.

Community Development Support

Short-Term Career Training

A skill-development and resource-based mentorship service offered to those interested in starting community development initiatives.

Integrated ESL at NorQuest College

English as a Second Language (ESL)

These evening classes improve your English reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. CLB 5 to CLB 8

Childcare Worker

Short-Term Career Training

A program focused on training learners to work in the childcare industry, and preparing them for the Level 1 Early Childhood Educator certification exam, an industry requirement for working in childcare. The program includes 5 months of in-class training followed by a 1-month field experience with an employment partner in the childcare industry. The program includes job coaching with support to find employment.
