LINC at Metro Continuing Education (Full-Time without Child-Minding)

LINC

This full-time program is for all newcomers (permanent residents and refugees). Our LINC program ranges from CLB 1 to 4. Students in the LINC program are provided with language training, settlement skills and assistance and orientation to the community and Canadian culture.

LINC at Metro Continuing Education (Full-Time with Child-Minding)

LINC

For all newcomers (permanent residents and refugees) to Canada. Instruction is offered for CLB 3, 4 and 5. Students in the LINC program are provided with language training, settlement skills and assistance and orientation to the community and Canadian culture. Child-minding is free to students attending the full-time LINC program at McKee.

CELBAN Test Preparation Course

Test Preparation Classes
CELBAN has been endorsed by most RN, RPN and all LPN licensing bodies across Canada as an acceptable option to demonstrate your level of English language proficiency for licensure. CELBAN will evaluate your proficiency level in all four skill areas (speaking, listening, writing and reading). The CELBAN Test Preparation course at OMNI College is designed to improve the student’s English Language competency in order to prepare them to practice nursing in Canada. This course also helps Internationally-Educated Nurses prepare to write the CELBAN™ Test.

Journeywoman Start

Journeywoman Start is a 12- 17 weeks hand-on program provides pre-apprenticeship skills training for the construction trades and prepares graduates to enter the industry.

Drivers/Operator (Class 3)

Driver and operator is a 6 week long program designed to prepare graduates to obtain their class 3 license to and to enter the industry. Graduates will be able to operate snow plows, wireline trucks and hydrovacs.
